Summary/Artist Statement:

Its in his nature to explore. By traveling through the derelict edifices our ancestors once labored in Mike shows us the places our fathers and grandfathers worked; industries and shops that fell by the wayside due to economic collapse or the ravages of time. You may assume that these crumbling, derelict, decaying, and abandoned husks are devoid of life; they aren't.
The interiors are still full of left over energy; the residual blood, and sweat, the frustration, ideas, hopes, and dreams of those folks that put their body and soul on the line in order to provide a better life for their families, only to see the their work discarded due to circumstances they could not control.
Mikes images are unusually vibrant with rich textures which contrast the broken and derelict work places he uncovers in his industrial explorations.
