I am a Woodist, a Wood Artist, specializing in the design and creation of wood art and studio furniture. My work is best described as functional art.

Clean and simple lines are typically used for elegant simplicity. The style of the end product is not limited, but it is contemporary more often than not.

Against the Grain Studio produces unique designs and one-of-a-kind or limited edition pieces, and quality always takes precedence over quantity.

Wood holds a spirit, and as a craftsman I strive to capture it and act as a conduit to create something unique, functional and beautiful that brings warmth to your home and joy to your soul..
