Summary/Artist Statement:

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Tara Bystran Sasiadek has moved home after a three year stay teaching and painting in Washington, DC. She now teaches downtown at the Buffalo Academy of Science, and lives in the village of East Aurora.
Her work is figurative, surreal, and heavily imbued with myths which weave in and out of the known world -brought to life by phenomena and fiction. She prefers encaustic, oil, mosaic, and sculptural relief work.
Tara has a BA in Philosophy and a BFA in Painting, both from SUNY Buffalo, as well as a Masters in Education and Human Development from the George Washington University.
The artist welcomes questions, ideas, criticisms, suggestions, and commissions from any and all.
