Summary/Artist Statement:

Alicia Wittman grew up in a small town outside of Buffalo, New York.
One of two children growing up in a single parent household, art, creativity and imagination came in handy as an escape from the chaotic world around her.
Alicia started off as a commercial art/graphic designer at Niagara University while attending her undergraduate studies and obtaining a degree in business. During that time, Alicia experimented with traditional studio art techniques as well as abstract methods and photography.
A love for glass art in every form or fashion would follow many years later.
In 2006 Alicia was featured in a lecture on Florida Contemporary artists by the Appleton Museum of Art in relation to her glass work. In 2007 Alicia was voted in as a Roycroft Artisian in the medium of Glass allowing her to use the "Double R" trademark for that year.
In 2008 Alicia had a baby girl she named Maddi. She considers this her best creation yet!!!
