Medium(s): Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media

Summary/Artist Statement:

Wearing body adornment is an intimate way for one to celebrate a piece of art while allowing others to appreciate it as well. Accessorizing adds a unique flair to any individual.

My jewelry designs have been inspired by a variety of themes and interests in my own life. I take these inspirations, simplify their inherent qualities, and extract their aesthetic elements to incorporate into my metalwork. Architectural and mechanical rudiments have always been underlying references when designing, though I have also been pulled towards what lies within the cosmic universe. Since my earliest memories, astronomy has always intrigued me and reflects this curiosity I have with the outer limits. Imagery related to black holes, celestial patterns and lunar elements are interpreted through my jewelry.

Rust, hardware and other mechanical elements make an appearance in my designs as well. My most recent work captures these items in resin and are then transformed into finished pieces with my metalwork. Lines, angles and hard edges emerge, however, I extract the coldness by integrating smooth curves, circular elements and primitive textures into my work.
The diverse range of influences that inspire me as an artist converge to create a cohesive body of work. Each piece is one of a kind and subsequently, a feeling of uniqueness is attained by those who wear my jewelry.
