Impact Artists Gallery

Medium(s): None specified

Summary/Artist Statement:

We are the only co-op women fine art gallery in Buffalo, established in 1993, today featuring both men and women artists. Impact's mission is to foster emerging artists by providing an affordable professional space in which to create, grow and exhibit their work, helping them to achieve professional development and expand their opportunities. The gallery provides a culturally enriched environment for the community to view original art in a wide variety of media through exhibitions, lectures, workshops and studio days. We host 12 month-long shows per year, some new and some favorites. Additionally, Impact hosts events in collaboration with community agencies and panel discussions by experts in fine art and community concerns. Impact is open to hosting poetry and other literary readings, and music, dance and drama performances. We also offer internships for college students.

We offer a diverse range of artwork from not only our extensive membership but in our changing monthly invitational exhibitions, which includes two juried Nationals. The gallery is run by a director and critical decisions are under control of it's Board. As a co-op, membership is open on several levels of both financial obligation and responsibilities. So stop in to visit the gallery and consider becoming a valued member. As a member, year-round space is available in the gift shop, which features creative cards, jewelry, purses, scarves, glassware and framed art work from our talented members. The gallery is open to the general public Weds.-Fri. 11am-4pm, and Saturday 1-4pm.
