Summary/Artist Statement:

tonja gleichenhaus designs and produces unique one of a kind pieces of enameled jewelry and home décor which are sold under the KilnFruit brand name.


She has honed her craft for several years creating and marketing handcrafted jewelry ~ tonja is self learned and her passion for artistic enameling has inspired her to focus exclusively on this new KilnFruit line of enameled creations.


Enamel is a glassy decorative or protective coating, usually colored and opaque, that is fused onto metal, glass, or ceramics.


Her specialty is enameled light switch plates. By layering multiple colors and adding spontaneous designs through several firings, she creates joy to replace sterile sameness.


tonja accepts and excitedly looks forward to commissions for home décor pieces and wearable art. She will work closely with interior designers and architects for color specification and size.
